Here is a copy of our ‘Aspire’ priorities which form our school development plan. These are linked to our curriculum intent. We are all working to ensure that children enjoy learning across all subjects and achieve good outcomes across the whole curriculum.
Objective 1: The quality of teaching and learning is improved so that all groups of pupils can access a broad and balanced curriculum.
Objective 2: Pupils are motivated so that they have consistently positive attitudes and commitment to their education: they are persistent in the face of difficulties.
Objective 3: The curriculum and wider work with pupils prepares them for life in modern Britain effectively, developing their understanding of the fundamental British values, disciplinary knowledge that can be applied across contexts and cultural capital.
Objective 4: Leaders focus on improving teachers’ subject, pedagogical and pedagogical content knowledge in order to enhance the teaching of the curriculum and the appropriate use of assessment.
Objective 5: The EYFS curriculum provides no limits or barriers to the children’s achievements, regardless of their backgrounds, circumstances or needs. The impact of the curriculum on what children (especially SEN and disadvantaged) know, can remember and do is strong. The high ambition it embodies is shared by all staff.
